Pro-Life Families United in Devotion - Portable Shrine Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe

Starting with ten Catholic families last December 1, the female Marian group that gathers once a month for the Cenacle prayer has spread the devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe to fifty Portuguese, Chinese and English-speaking families from Macau. The Blessed Virgin appeared in Mexico in 1531.

“Each group of ten families has a portable shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and each family keeps the shrine in their house for three days, thirty days in total for each group, which makes one month. We now have five shrines circulating, but if we have ten more families we can start another group, and so on,” member of the Cenacle prayer group Joni Cheng told O CLARIM.

The devotion under the invocation “Pilgrim Queen of the Family” is related to “life, family and vocations,” she explained. She also pointed out that “during the three days there are prayers in the houses where the shrines remain,” which serves to “reinforce the commitment of families to Our Lady of Guadalupe.”
